Bevel Gears
Bevel Gears connect intersecting axes and are generally mounted on shafts which are 90 degrees apart, but can be designed to work at other angles as well. The pitch surface of bevel gears is a cone. Bevel Gears are useful when the direction of a shaft's rotation requires to be changed. Using gears of differing numbers of teeth can also change the speed of rotation. For reliable performance, Bevel Gears must be pinned to shaft with a dowel or taper pin. Bevel gear sets consist of two gears of different pitch diameter which yield gearing ratios greater than 1:1. The teeth on the bevel gears can be straight, spiral or bevel, based on which these gears are classified. We manufacture these all types of bevel gears with the outside diameter ranging from 100 mm to 3,000 mm, and up to 30 module. The bevel gears find applications in the locomotives, marine applications, power plants, automobiles, steel plants, printing presses, cooling towers, defense and also in railway track inspection machine. Bevel gears are important components on all current rotor-craft drive system. These are required to operate at high speeds, high loads, and for an extremely large number of load cycles. In this application, spiral bevel gears are used to redirect the shaft from the horizontal gas turbine engine to the vertical rotor.
